Additional Housing Management Service

We can provide an Additional Housing Management Service to our tenants who need support to help maintaining their tenancies.

Our Additional Housing Management service provides monthly visits to your home and our advisors are there to provide help, guidance and assistance in accessing services to help you stay independent.

Our Additional Housing Management Advisors can help by working with our repairs team to make sure the property has all the necessary repairs carried out. Advisors can give advice on personal safety and security as well as signpost and help you to link up with local resources, volunteers and community services.

We can also signpost residents to support services who can help with everyday tasks such as paying bills, reading letters and dealing with nuisance callers. The Advisors will work with all external agencies on tenants behalf, these include but are not limited to, Adult Social Care, Fire Service, Police Service and Health Services.

The Advisors will ensure that tenants property is suitably equipped by ensuring aids and adaptations are fitted.  If personal care is required the Advisors will refer the tenant for additional support from Social Services and will work with all outside agencies to ensure independence.  The Advisors will also work with Health colleagues on tenants behalf.

Extra funding and tailored support

Our Springboard Grants offer up to £300 to support our residents with opportunities for wellbeing, education, training or employment. This grant could be used to help towards equipment that won’t be funded but would benefit our residents.

Technology can be intimidating, especially as it is constantly changing. We work in partnership with Bucks Adult Learning to provide support to residents when using electrical devices to help avoid social isolation. We have devices at our Community Hub for residents to use and sign up to My HomeHub with staff on hand to help as needed.

For more information about the support we can offer, please visit our Welfare page.

Assisted Gardening Support

The Estate Services Team can support those with their own, individual garden to keep on top of regular maintenance. The service costs £25 per visit with a max of 12 visits across the summer. Satisfaction with the garden service is around 98% amongst residents who sign up to it. For more information about our gardening services please visit our Estate Services page.

Every year we allocate money for improving local areas. Residents can apply for funding to improve their community environment or safety through the Nurture Your Neighbourhood scheme.

Additional aids

Our Additional Housing Management Advisors can apply for aids and adaptations on a tenants behalf as well as arranging for external agencies to assist where appropriate, such as with Occupational Therapy referrals.  Our Aids and Adaptations service aims to help make your home more comfortable and you can be sure that any information given will be treated sympathetically and confidentially. Minor modifications we can assess and authorise include:

Examples of aids and adaptations available to residents

Staircase modifications

Flashing door bells

Bathroom grab rails

Kitchen lever taps

Smoke alarm alerts

Window opening equipment

External lighting

Door and wall protectors

Dropped curbs

WC lever flush handles

Main entrance support rails

Internal door and threshold ramps

Where possible we will carry out minor works up to the value of £2000. If you think you need a major adaption, like an accessible washroom, we will support you to access the relevant occupational therapy department. If major work is required, you may be eligible for a disabled facilities grant from your local authority and we can assist you in making an application.
