Corporate Social Responsibility

The Trust is a registered charity itself, but we also try to identify other charities and community groups, both local and national, that we can partner with or support for the benefit of our residents and their communities.

Giving something back

As you can tell by our vision, ‘homes for living, communities for life’, we are committed to supporting the local communities in which our residents and employees live and work. ‘Giving something back’ is our Corporate Responsibility programme which enables us to support the charities and causes we know are important to our residents and local communities. The programme includes:

  • Thriving Communities Fund - We provide grants to our residents for support with education, employment or wellbeing as well as to community groups or projects operating within areas where our residents live. Find out more about the fund.

  • Adopt a Scheme - Our employees are encouraged to ‘adopt’ one of our Independent Living Schemes, where they hold regular social events to help combat social isolation.

  • Employee's charity of the year - we organise a number of fundraising and donation activities throughout the year to support our employees chosen charity. Employees can claim match funding from the Trust.

  • Mix 96 Community Challenge - Once a year we partnered with Mix96 and invited people to nominate community facilities that would benefit from our building and repairs skills. Sadly, Mix96 are no longer broadcasting so this year's challenge will be the final one - keep your eyes peeled for the big reveal coming soon!

  • Protecting our environment - We're committed to running a sustainable business and reducing our environmental impact; our Environment strategy 2020-25 explains how we intend to achieve this.
