We have been made aware of tenants being contacted by a company claiming to be calling on behalf of the council, and asking the tenant to pay towards the breakdown cover for their boiler.

If you receive a call like this, hang up and do not give them any bank details. Residents who rent from us are not responsible for any boiler repairs and have no requirement for breakdown cover.
