Leaseholder permissions for alterations

Whilst a leaseholder owns the lease for a property, Fairhive is the freeholder of the building and therefore needs to ensure the safety of all residents within the block to the best of its ability. In order to ensure the safety of the block and residents within, we need to police the alterations that are carried out to all properties to make sure that the structure of the building is not compromised, or services such as gas, electricity or water are not interrupted. All leaseholders have a clause within their leases that oblige them to gain consent from us before any alterations are carried out at the property.

The fees for permissions/ consents are: Minor - £50, Standard - £180, Major - £240, Retrospective - £300 all inclusive of VAT. We'll let you know how much your permission costs, as well as how to pay, when we contact you after you've submitted your request.
