The Trust’s Training Strategy sets out to encourage and challenge staff at every level. We are developing a culture of learning and continuous improvement, so that employees reach their full potential and are enabled to respond effectively to the needs of both residents and colleagues.

The four objectives of the Training Strategy are to -

  • Ensure that all staff are equipped with the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes to deliver high quality services
  • Plan training and development to achieve the Trust’s objectives
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement and development
  • Ensure that investment in training and development delivers value to the Trust and its stakeholders

We have introduced an innovative performance management system that ensures that each employee is provided with the opportunity to:

  • undertake meaningful and challenging work
  • obtain objective feedback on performance and personal competency
  • feel motivated and satisfied at work
  • identify and act upon professional development needs
