The Unit collates all costs related to leaseholder services and scrutinises them to ensure they are reasonable as required by law and listed in the leaseholder contract.  The Team issues the annual service charges accompanied by an explanatory information pack.

Services 

Service charges 

The Home Ownership Unit deals with all queries and disputes regarding Leaseholders’ Service Charges.  The Unit also provide other services to Leaseholders, such as giving various permissions required under the lease e.g. subletting information, sales information for Solicitors, statement of service charge accounts and copies of a lease. In addition the Unit liaises with the Leaseholders Representative Group (LRG) to ensure transparency and good relations with the leaseholders.

Shared ownership 

The Home Ownership Team also deal with all shared ownership matters; for example if you wish to buy extra shares, buying your freehold and permission to make alteration to your property 

Commercial properties 

They are also responsible for managing the Trust Commercial Properties.  These properties ranges form shops, light industrial units and other business premises.
