As well as managing 7,250 affordable homes the Trust also manages and provides services for close to 600 properties on behalf of our leaseholders.
The Trust’s new Home Ownership Unit was set up in January 2007 to service the needs of Homeowners and to help form and liaise with the Leaseholders Representative Group, (LRG).
The LRG is an elected group that represents the leaseholders in their dealings and negotiations with the Trust. The group is chaired by leaseholder Tom Watt, with Keith Nials as Vice Chair. The committee also includes James Weston as Secretary, Rachel Webber as Treasurer and Wendy Phipps as Vice Treasurer.
The Trust is reviewing a number of new services that it can offer to leaseholders enabling them to gain benefits from the Trust’s contracts.
Currently these include:
Replacements for double glazed door and window, central heating systems, bathrooms and kitchens. Please contact the Home Owners Unit, 01296 732600 for more information
Depending on where a leaseholder's property is situated, they will be able to upgrade their TV reception before the government’s new roll out of digital TV transmissions, scheduled for 2012. There is an installation cost which will be added to their service charges. For more information please contact the Homeowner Unit on 01296 732600
Leaseholders can purchase a Carbon Monoxide Detector from the Trust for £20.00
We are pleased to announce our specialist scheme, My Home contents insurance, arranged through the National Housing Federation. The scheme is run in association with Jardine Lloyd Thompson who will handle all enquiries and arrange cover for you.
