Tenant Services Authority
Consultation on the New Regulatory Framework
The Trust is totally committed to involving and consulting with residents on this important change to the way we are regulated and is seeking views from RCSG, (the Resident Communities Strategic Group) about the new TSA standards. Their feed back will enable a response to be given to the TSA by 5 February 2010.
Background
The TSA was created in December 2008 to replace the Housing Corporation as the regulator of social housing. Since this date it has consulted all types of social housing tenants and landlords, including the Trust, to ensure that a single standards framework is developed which will deliver the same level of service and regulatory protection to all tenants irrespective, of who their landlord is.
The TSA has been set up for 4 main reasons:-
- To act as a consumer regulator
- To ensure tenants are involved in decisions that affect them
- To provide security and protection for private investors
- To safeguard past public investment in social housing
If you wish to participate in the consultation, you can do this via the TSA’s website.
Or alternatively, you can download the report given to RCSG and the proposed new standards, and then contact us with your comments.
