Resident Involvement

Why get involved

Getting Involved with the Trust means that you can influence and make a difference to what happens to your home and your local community. You can help improve the quality of your life and others, and gain some valuable experience along the way.

We’ve created lots of different ways for you to get involved, because we recognise that everyone is different; people have different reasons for wanting to get involved, different lifestyles, different experiences and different amounts of time to commit. Visit out ways to get involved section to find out more.

If you have any questions about Resident Involvement and how you can have a say in the decisions that the Trust makes, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Contacting the Tenant Scrutiny Panel:
If you have unresolved issues or concerns about the Trust,  the Tenant Scrunity Panel may be able to help.

The  panel are committed to working on your behalf, and groups of residents can now bring issues to our attention by requesting a call to action form from the Community Development Team.

The form must be accompanied by a petition signed by at least 10 residents from different addresses and supported by a local resident communities group or association.

The panel will  review all of the information you provide, including any previous action that has been taken by the Trust. We take a variety of factors into account when deciding whether or not to proceed with an inquiry and details of these along with the relevant timeframes will be provided with the form.

We can’t accept requests from individuals and would encourage you to make use of the Trusts’ complaints procedure if you havespecific issues relating to your ownexperiences. We are also not able to get involved in existing complaints
and these will continue to be dealt with under the Trusts approved complaints procedure.
