Silverdale is progressing well and is slightly ahead of our other regeneration schemes. Decent Homes work is underway, and heating systems in Essex, Wharton and Westbury Houses have been renewed.

Borras Contractors has been appointed to carry out the improvement works to the flats and communal areas. We anticipate that they will be onsite until June 2010.

Due to the extensive nature of the works, including the remodelling of some flats and installation of new bathrooms and kitchens, some residents will be required to move out of their home temporarily. However, the Trust is working with residents to keep the disruption to a minimum.

Once work is completed, residents will be able to enjoy a new conservatory and improved parking. The building will be more energy-efficient with lower carbon emissions.
