adVantage - trust news and updates for our partners in the Vale

Welcome to our third adVAntage e-newsletter, designed to keep you, our local Parish, District and County Councillors in touch with the Trust’s work.

Look out for your invitation to our next adVAntage forum, where you will be able to discuss issues that affect your wards. Once again, we will be offering three councillors up to £5,000 to add to a community project of their choice. Audit Inspection

The Trust Team"One star with promising prospects for improvement" – the Audit Commission declares residents benefit from improving housing management services. Matthew Applegate welcomes their recommendations and says "We recognise that our customers are the most important assessors of our services."

The Trust received an overwhelming response to our campaign against overcharging via energy prepayment meters: over 1,300 residents say "too expensive, not fair, not value for money".

New Services:

The Trust is constantly striving to improve the level of service we offer our residents. We have established two new roles will help us monitor and improve service levels, and give our most vulnerable residents valuable welfare advice.

Environmental Improvement Fund

The Trust has an annual £200,000 Environmental Improvement Fund to make improvements to communities for the benefit of our residents and others. Residents of Holland Place, Wendover, as winners of our “Creating Places” competition, were delighted with their “peaceful oasis” scented garden.
