Changing text size

Quick method

To increase the text size click on the largest “A” letter in the “Text size” link in the blue help menu at the top of the screen. This “Text size” link appears immediately to the right of the “Accessibility” link you clicked on to arrive at this page.

To decrease the text size, click on the smallest “A” letter in the “Text size” link in the blue help menu at the top of the screen.

To reset the text size to the default setting, click on the middle “A” letter in the “Text size” link in the blue help menu at the top of the screen.

Browser method

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6:

• To alter your text size, move your mouse pointer over the word “View” that is displayed at the top of the browser window and click the mouse button once. This will display a dropdown list of options. Move the mouse pointer over the option labelled “Text Size” and press the mouse button once. This will display another list of options. Click on the required option for the text size wanted. The page will then refresh with your newly selected setting.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7:

This will display a dropdown list of options. Move the mouse pointer over the option labelled “Zoom” and press the mouse button once. This will display another list of options. Click on the required option for the zoom size required. The page will then refresh with your newly selected setting.

Changing the background colour

Dyslexic visitors may find it helpful to change the background colour of the main content area in order to help with legibility of the text on our website.
